About Down to Earth
The seed for Down to Earth was planted a long time ago in a hole-in-the-wall eatery in Matamoros, Mexico. It was there that our founder, Alma Rangel, along with her eight sisters helped her parents in the kitchen. With menial tasks like washing dishes and washing the corn husks for the tamales, she started developing a love for the kitchen at a very early age. It was the wonderful smells that emanated from her mom's kitchen that captured her love for flavorful cooking. In the Fall of 2014 Down to Earth Food Truck was launched and the adventure continues!
